Electrical Management Systems

The advantage of using a portable EMS is that it stops any power problems at the pedestal, before they touch any of your equipment.  Many people end up with melted electrical connections on either their RV's permanent power cord or on an extension cord or dogbone.  With a portable EMS that shouldn't happen.  The rumor is that if your EMS does its job and melts down in the process, progressive Industries will replace it for free under warranty, but check with them to know for sure.

30 amp & 50 amp Hardwired EMS

The advantage of hardwired EMS is that they're installed out of view.  You don't have to do anything extra, just plug in your power cord to the pedestal. And they come with a remote device to tell you everything that is going on with your electrical source at any given time.
